2008- The year that was!!!

Q1-2008
Establishing myself in my organization was the highlight of this quarter. Monotonous days, enjoyable bike rides, The BNB sessions with my good friend from work, developing models for my team, getting used to hearing the word PPT 1634 times a day and finally late night calls with clients kept me going the first three months. My vacation to witness the scenic beauty of Ashtamudi in Kerala was fantabulous. It was in this quarter that I joined Facebook. That got me definitely motivated. Not joining Facebook felt like not riding a tiger when I had the opportunity to.
Q2-2008
The IPL dominated Q2. I literally had no time to do the above mentioned tasks. My BNB company moved ahead in life to become a great laker. While I was stuck at work , I hardly had any time to make client calls since Superkings were on a roll against most of the opponents. The IPL was revolutionary and it just proved how fast time can fly. This quarter was a NO GAINER personally and professionally albeit I managed to go on one of my best vacations with friends. Overall I really felt like I was riding the tiger and knew just exactly when to get off.
Q3-2008
This quarter was plateaued with a lot of up’s and down’s. I had to indulge in a large amount of counselling to different people of both sexes which took away most of my time. I have constantly tried to make an effort to think about my career and in turn missed a lot of my usual Sunday morning Meetings. Mock exams took care of the weekends and weekdays were usually sober than high. Social networking was the need of the hour in this quarter and my attempt to change Status Messages changed from once a fortnight to once every day. Couple of new women in my life kept me going:)..
To sum it up it was more like me helping other people how to ride the Tiger.
Q4-2008
The party quarter. I have had a brilliant end to the year. I have no complaints regarding the end of 2008. The last 3 months saw a huge increase in my face value. The global economic slow down didn’t take its toll on me as I continued to empty my pockets at will. With very little pressure on the work front I managed to stamp my authority on all but one major club in the city. My dancing skills have improved leaps and bounds. The days were very long and the nights were short. I was constantly chanting ” Where is the party tonight ” . Another very close friend of mine joined my organization to keep the party going. This quarter also witnessed the entry of what could be a potentially life changing person in my life. Fingers crossed Q4-2008 will be remembered for a long time to come. Meanwhile rate of change in status messages changed to once every hour when compared to Q3-2008. There has to be a bad side to anything and this quarter saw the decline of Australia after a long time. Seeing them lose was one of the hardest things I had to face and It was a tough period confronting my peers.
I also have to convey that whatever I have written above is true to my heart and I have not let my readers down. I have not over expressed any of my emotions and I sincerely feel like I am riding a tiger with my hands stretched out and Yelling on top my Voice ” I am the King of the World ” .
Hope all of you have a Great 2009.
P.S [ Just for information.. I have had a terrible reversal of fortunes over the last 8 days and Q1-2009 has started terribly. It could be the beginning of my recession. Personally and Professionally things have dipped. Hoping for the best. ]
